Danielle Johnson
My name is Danielle Johnson and I am a third-year student athlete at Southern Oregon University. I am a 21-year-old transfer student from two pervious colleges in Washington where I played collegiate volleyball. I was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington but volleyball brought me to Oregon for my last two years of eligibility. At SOU, I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a certificate in eCommerce. After I graduate I hope to someday work in the fashion industry but preferably the athletic clothing industry. My main hobbies include sports and shopping which is why athletic apparel is a huge part of my life.
I am the youngest child in my family of two girls and have always followed my older sister’s footsteps. Both of us fell in love with volleyball and both of us pursued to play at the collegiate level. During my childhood, I spent lots of time traveling the world with my family. My most memorable trip so far is going to Greece where we visited Athens and Santorini. I am part Greek so we were able to visit with family when we were there. Another memorable trip was going to China and walking the Great Wall. I do not have any work experience other than being a volleyball referee and a coach, so I am excited to see how the real world treats me after graduation.
