In his interview with Marie Forleo, Sinek discusses the many experiences and events that helped lead him to his understanding of how to be a great leader. As well as, how to inspire others to do remarkable things. Sinek believes every business or career functions on three levels: what you did, how you do it, and why you do it. Once this can be understood, you will be elevated to a new level of success.

Leadership is an important aspect of creating an environment in which we can create relationships bounded by trust and cooperation. If you create an environment in which people feel safe amongst each other, they will then naturally

trust and cooperate. This then leads to his final understanding of how to be a great leader. Through his experience, Sinek found that to be a great leader you must instill care and value into your workers. Once you can fulfill that, the rest should fall into place.

There were several important points from this interview to take away. Two things to focus on is that everyone can be a great leader and everyone can inspire others to do great things. The first steps towards understanding this realizing that leadership is the practice of putting the lives of others ahead of our own interests.
