Reflections from Gary Vee’s video.

Market Planning:

Brice Hulstrom’s reflections from watching GaryVEEs video. Brice’s reflections highlight profit against cost, customer engagement, market planning for the future, and innovative ideas.

Overview:

Brice covers key lesson’s he learned from watching GaryVee’s Video: 95% of you will ignore this marketing strategy in 2018….  Optimism, communication, and the progress of technology are the keys to the future.  Look for reasons why we are going to do something versus why are not.  Communication doesn’t change.  Therefore, the way we communicate changes.  Technology is enabling people to accomplish things never dreamed of before.

Why, Yes!:

To be in control of your life you must be willing to try new things.  The people pioneering new methods of business do so because they are constantly trying new things.  The bold don’t wonder why not to do something but how to do anything.

Customer Engagement:

Customer engagement is an important facet to any business.  However, customer engagement doesn’t stop at customer service.  If your employees have issues with customer service please click here to link to a lesson on leadership.  Engaging customers through ad platforms is a simple.  Where are customers receiving their information from?  Before the days of telephones people would communicate through signage.  A person who opened a general store would place a sign in front of the building indicating there was a store in that location.  Today people communicate with small digital computers called smartphones.  The smartphones connects people to other people through various apps.  The apps support commercials telling people about businesses.  Therefore, learning about these apps will enable the entrepreneur to connect with customers.

Cost versus Profit:

Connecting with the customer in the least expensive method available is the key to success.  While big companies are focused on the old methods the entrepreneur has the rare advantage of being able to utilize new technology to cheaply access customers.  However, the small business can not compete with large companies due to economies of scale.  Although, large organizations are slow to change leaving the small business with the opportunity to quickly take advantage of new technology.
